Puerto Rico
At the end of our Atlantic crossing, we arrived in Puerto Rico. Many people probably know the name and may vaguely know that it is somewhere in the Caribbean. In fact, however, Puerto Rico is not an independent country but part of the United States. A strange part. Puerto Rico is not a state, but
A day like any other on Utila
Usually still half asleep, I blend this smoothie from frozen bananas, papaya, pineapple, watermelon, and sometimes—if we managed to get some—passion fruit (maracuya). Then I add a few ice cubes and sometimes a bit of peanut butter. The result is a wonderfully cold, fruity-sweet smoothie that’s often better eaten with a spoon than drunk, thanks to its creamy texture from the frozen ingredients.
Dive master training in Utila
The sun is scorching from the sky, directly onto my head. Sweat is dripping from my forehead, my wetsuit is slowly soaking it up and warming me up even more—completely unnecessarily. The boat is rocking, and I have to keep my eyes on the horizon so I don’t get sick. My diving mask is strapped to my face, and I’m ready to jump into the cooling water.
Traveling for over a year
We’ve been on the road for over a year now. It’s incredible what we’ve seen – I realize that when I look through my photos.
Baja Magica
Quickly I scrambled back onto the board, sat down this time to avoid losing my balance again, and started paddling hard to get out of the whale’s path. I felt like an ant drifting around on a matchstick in the ocean.
Tijuana - La Paz
After spending a few days in Tijuana for Dia de los Muertos, we’re moving on to the south of Baja California. After Vancouver, San Francisco and Tijuana, we have seen the big city life and are looking forward to a warm, cozy place somewhere by the sea where we can swim. No sooner said than
Zurich - Rocky Mountains
We actually wanted to start a blog a while ago, but with all the traveling, painting, photography, and processing of impressions, we never really found the time. However, when we spent two weeks in the Rocky Mountains helping a family build a log cabin, we finally found the time to sit down and get started.
The Yukon
The territory in the northwest of Canada captivated us. We spent more than half of our time in Canada in the vastness of the Yukon. The longer we were there, the more we learned about this sparsely populated region and grew to appreciate it. The Yukon is the smallest of the three territories in Canada
